what is footgolf?

The beginnings of the sport started in the Netherlands in 2009. It has grown at a phenomenal rate in just a few years with the US now being the 19th country to officially join the sport.

It consists of putting a soccer ball into a hole of 52 centimeters in diameter, with the foot in the least amount of kicks possible. Playing a hole on a footgolf course is initiated by putting a ball into play by kicking it with your foot from the teeing ground. This activity combines the power of the kick with skill and precision to strategically put the ball in the hole in the least amount of kicks.

what are the rules?

The footgolf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee. The game depends on the integrity of the player to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules.

All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy at all times and sportsmanship, regardless of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the footgolf game. Footgolf rules are based on the Rules of Golf, but with some considerations and particulars as detailed in the link below.
